The River of God | Jere Hatcher

During our Sunday Service on July 12th of 2026, Jere Hatcher gave a vision Mary, his wife, received several years ago before her passing. Below you will find the vision written out along with comments from Jere Hatcher to confirm God’s Kingdom design for this region. We agree with Jere’s comments as do many in the region who have had similar experiences to confirm God's design for the region. We pray you are encouraged about what the future holds in store for Shreveport and the surrounding area.

“THE RIVER OF GOD”
A VISION AND A DREAM REGARDING SHREVEPORT
Both were received several years ago

Vision given to Mary Hatcher (wife of Jere Hatcher)

In the vision she was standing on the bank of the powerful River of God that is described in Ezekiel 47. It was deep and crystal clear. There were light tinges of green and blue hues in the water as it flowed. She saw a number of small boats float by. Each boat had in it a single Shreveport area spiritual leader. The boats began to pull ashore and the leaders each got out and walked down the bank to get in a much larger boat that had been waiting for these passengers. The leaders got into the large boat and pushed off into the Glory River. The waters were filled with great power and beauty. The river continued to flow until it came to a place where two wings of a gate were closed at the middle of the river and stopped its flow. Mary’s gaze then looked at the edge of the gate and she saw two angels, one standing on the river bank at each side of the gate. These angels were very large and very strong. Their force held the gate closed. The gate appeared to be made of a dark wood, perhaps walnut. There were intricate carvings in the gate. And then, she saw an arch that flowed across the top of the gate from one edge of the river to the opposite edge. She saw a name that had been carved into the arched portion of the gate. The name was SHREVEPORT. The angels were poised in their positions while waiting for a command by the Lord to open the gate!

As you were telling Mary’s vision, I remembered a dream I had several years ago. There were some similar things in both her vision and my dream…several things I do remember was the river that was in the dream and the gates that were across the river and the huge angel that looked like a Roman Centurion standing by the gates. I knew it had to do with the move of God here in Shreveport.

The vision and the dream are the same. They speak of a time that I believe is now ready to be activated. The Lord wants spiritual leaders in the Shreveport area to humble themselves and seek to collaborate in what the Lord is seeking to release in our area. National leaders are now receiving a common revelation. Tim Sheets is an apostle and leader of The Oasis, a church in Ohio. Several months ago he began to receive an abundance of revelation about the “Glory River.” It became so strong that he and his daughter Rachel wrote a book with the title of Glory River – Waters to Swim In. His church and area are preparing to become an Apostolic Hub. This same calling and purpose was prophesied over Shreveport by Bob Jones when he said, Shreveport was to be an Apostolic Center. It is my humble belief that we are nearing the time when the Lord will command the gates to be opened. When that happens we will see great Signs, Wonders, and Miracles. We should continue to pray and seek the Lord for His purposes to be fully released over our region.
